Product Description

Dolly, Opus 56, by Gabriel Fauré, was originally composed for piano four-hands, and it is deservedly one of his most admired compositions. This arrangment is for oboe, bassoon and piano trio. Francis Poulenc proved, in his iconic trio for oboe, bassoon and piano from 1926, that this is a brilliant and versatile combination of instruments. This suite by Fauré was arranged with the spirit of Poulenc in mind. The duration of the six movements is 15-16 minutes. The audio sample of movements 2, 3 and 6 is that of a live performance. This arrangement is conceived for advanced students and professionals. Inquiries about these or other arrangements or compositions by Christopher Kies may be directed to christopherkies.com
