George Butterworth is best known for his piece "A Shropshire Lad" but also has a number of works for voice. He is one of the "First World War" composers that was tragically killed during the hostilities and would, surely, have gone on to have an illustrious career had this not happened.
This work is published in two versions: for Voice and String Quartet or Voice and Full Orchestra. This version adds the colour provided by Oboes, Bassoon and Horns while keeping the feeling of intimacy which really suits this work.
As usual with my parts; print them double-sided, including title pages where present, and the page turns will work.
