Product Description

This is my arrangement of two of the most well-known songs by the group Blood Sweat and Tears, an extremely popular large rock band of the late 60's
and 70's that featured a horn section and, of course, the vocals of David Clayton-Thomas. This offering makes "You've Made Me So Very Happy" and "Spinning Wheel" accessible to the medium of Concert Band/Wind Ensemble. As with most of my publications, it is my intent to represent the music as authentically as possible, so please DO consult the original recordings as reference.

This is Part 2 of the medley; Part 1, which includes "Lucretia Mac Evil," "Smiling Phases" and "And When I Die" is available separately. They
can be performed together, as one selection or alone. You might even program Part 1 earlier in a concert and Part 2 later in the concert.

In an effort to spread the wealth as well as make things more interesting, I harmonized Lou Soloff's famous "Spinning Wheel" solo in four parts by
dividing Trumpet 1 at that point. A special part that separates the two is included to help with individual practice. The group that I play with has had a blast performing this medley since 2017 and I'm sure yours will too.
