Product Description

The two guitar piece can be played with the top part on its own, which is an arrangement of Greensleeves by the German guitarist Paul Ronning. The second part has been added by myself as an optional accompaniment.

Both parts of this charming arrangement, moving from the usual 3/4 meter for Greensleeves into a playful ragtime 4/4 and then back to the original 3/4 time, are fully fingered and written both in standard notation and in guitar tablature to make them as easy as possible to play.

More about Paul Ronning:
"Paul Ronning Guitarist, Composer, Teacher
Paul Ronning taught himself finger-picking, ragtime and blues guitar techniques at an early age, when his mentors were Leo Kottke, Doc Watson, Dave van Ronk, Werner Lämmerhirt among many others.
Then he moved to Austria to teach guitar at the Städtische Musikschule Bregenz. Parallel to this 7 year Austrian adventure, he enrolled and completed the Lehramtsprüfung in classical guitar with the Landesmusik Konservatorium, recorded and successfully sold his first music LP ("Apple Orchard"), wrote and published his since well-known guitar method book through Doblinger in Vienna "The Finger-Picking Book", was requested to perform numerous radio recordings (ORF) and performed/toured with his London-based partner Robert Levy (bass, guitar) under the auspices of a talent agency in Munich.
Then he went to Colorado State University to accept the position as guitar instructor which involved Western States touring recitals, gigs, solo concerts and leading various ensembles for 10 years.
Then he returned to Europe to become a language teacher and solo musician, including concerts with his jazz ensemble Chamber Jazz, and where Leipzig has been his home since 2000.
He is still an enthusiastic teacher of guitar and regularly performs his eclectic and entertaining repertoire (using special 9-string guitars)"
