Product Description

"Music" (Was My First Love) FULL ENSEMBLE SCORE and parts

A prog rock classic arranged by Kirstie Smith for SATB (div.) choir, piano, flute, clarinet and keys.

SATB (div.) CHORAL SCORE with piano accompaniment also available

"Music" is an iconic hit by John Miles (1949-2021) the English rock singer, guitarist and keyboard player best known for this 1976 top 3 UK hit single which won an Ivor Novello Award. He frequently appeared at international Night of the Proms, guested on albums by The Alan Parsons Project, recorded and toured with Tina Turner and won the "Outstanding Musical Achievement" award at the 2017 Progressive Music Awards.

This is a lovingly crafted score which features new compositional elements from the arranger and utilises the full range of voices as a 'vocal orchestra' whilst retaining the prog rock nature of John Miles' original masterpiece.

A wonderfully exciting and entertaining arrangement for singers and audiences alike, perfect for a concert finale.

Highly recommended for choirs, choral groups, performing arts ensembles, schools, colleges and universities.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
