Product Description

Scored for 2 Trumpets, Trombone/Euphonium and Tuba. There are alternative parts for Horn in Eb and Bb as well as Bb Trombone and Eb and Bb Basses in Treble and Bass Clefs.
Habanera from Bizets Comic Opera Carmen literally means music or dance of Havana. In the Opera, it is an aria that signifies (from the French) that love is a rebellious bird. Bizet acknowledged that he had adapted the tune from an earlier composition by the Spaniard Sebastian Iradier. The effective use of triplets, chromaticism and ritornelli contribute to a haunting and timeless rhythmic gem.
