album Mercy, Mercy, Mercy! The song became an unexpected hit in early 1967,
reaching #2 on the Soul chart and #11 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Over the years, "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy" has been reimagined by many artists,
including The Buckinghams, whose 1967 version with added lyrics reached #5
on the charts and featured a vibrant ensemble of session musicians.
This arrangement was written for Oltedal Skolekorps from Norway, dedicated to the
bands three horn players Bernhard, Marthe, and Sigurd by their conductor,
Jacob Vilhelm Larsen.
