Product Description

Blue is the third studio album and major-label debut by American country singer LeAnn Rimes, released on July 9, 1996, by Curb Records, just before her 14th birthday. The album achieved significant success, peaking at number three on the US Billboard 200 and topping the Top Country Albums chart.

The record features notable singles, including "Blue," "Hurt Me," "One Way Ticket (Because I Can)," and "The Light in Your Eyes." Certified 6× Platinum by the RIAA, Blue stands as Rimes's best-selling album to date.

Background
The singles from Blue were released between 1996 and 1997. "Blue" and "The Light in Your Eyes" reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, while "Hurt Me" peaked at 43. "One Way Ticket (Because I Can)" became a standout hit, claiming the number one spot on the country music chart.

During the 1996 holiday season, Target stores included the promotional single "Put a Little Holiday in Your Heart" as a gift with album purchases. The track charted at number 51 on the Country Songs chart in January 1997. Additionally, "Unchained Melody," featured as the b-side of the promotional single, climbed to number three on the chart in March 1997 when re-released as part of Unchained Melody: The Early Years.
