A quintet with a Spanish flavor. The music is a crowd-pleaser, but is not easy to play. The second movement, in particular, demands sensitive and expressive playing in the high register from Trumpet 1 (up to Eb), Trumpet 2 (C), Horn (C), and Trombone (Bb). Seamless, attentive ensemble playing is required throughout.

This is one of my favorites - assuming one is allowed to have favorites from among one's own work. Sorry if that seems egocentric, but I like it. I hope you will, too.
