About the work:

Die Lorelei is a popular German folk song, whose origins can be traced back to the early 19th century. The original text, penned by the influential poet Heinrich Heine, describes a beautiful mermaid (Lorelei) that lives on the river Rhein. She spends her time dazzling passing sailors with her good looks, distracting them from the dangerous rocks that hide just below the surface of the water...

The music was later added by the prominent composer Friedrich Silcher in the mid-1800s.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
