Product Description

A Spaceman Came Travelling is a song written and performed by Chris De Burgh which reimagines the nativity story. He described his vision as:
What if the star of Bethlehem was a space craft and what if there is a benevolent being or entity in the universe keeping an eye on the world and the foolish things that we do to each other?
Although not a chart success on it's original release in 1976, it charted in the UK for ve weeks when it was re-released a decade later.

This arrangement has been designed to feature the middle section of the band - ugel, tenor horns, baritone horns and euphoniums. It is possible to stand these players in a line across the front of the stage, but this is not required.

Most players start the piece with a 20 bar rest. If this arrangement opens a set, it is possible to stage the beginning creatively. Cornets & trombones can begin o-stage and silently move to position once the music has started.

Trombone parts in alternate clefs are provided.
