Product Description

Daniel T. Tompkins was first performed in 1981 in Scarsdale, New York, at the Fox Meadow Elementary School. The song lyrics depict his life from childhood to Vice President under James Monroe (1817-1825). Musically, contrasting sections in a fast 7/8 meter provide a heightened sense of urgency to the opening more moderate 4/4 meter.

Score with parts for Clarinet in Bb and Bass Guitar.
Duration: Approx. 3:30.

Available separately:
Lead Sheet with Melody/Guitar Chords (fingerpicking style).
Full Performance audio for Clarinet in Bb (melody), Piano, Bass Guitar, and Snare Drum.
