Product Description

Another world-famous song, the Aquarela Brasileira melody is instantly recognizable wherever you are. Also called Aquarela do Brasil, it is a composition fom the 1930s by Ary Barroso who wantesd to change the heavy, melodramatic tone of traditional brazilian samba and wrote this piece overnight, starting a new style called samba-exaltaçao, meaning a feeling of well-being. Although the piece has a slow introduction, it picks up speed quite quickly and is meant to be played in a strong rhythmically accented samba style.
I have 2 different versions available, this version of Aquarela do Brasil is for string orchestra with a solo flute playing the melody and the other strings filling in melody and rhythm parts. When well-executed and with a little practice, the piece will sound great and it is sure to lift up everybody's spirits and get them moving in time with this famous Brazilian tune.
