Composer's Note: I was inspired to compose this fanfare following the groundswell of excitement when Vice President Kamala Harris entered the race for President of the United States in 2024. I was watching videos about her and loved seeing how her campaign used joy in celebrating her forward looking platform for the country, when the opening horn theme popped into my head, and using the same instrumentation as Coplands Fanfare for the Common Man, I composed this piece rather quickly! I coincidentally found out later that Copland was inspired by the words of then Vice President Henry Wallace in 1942 to compose his fanfare.
