Product Description

Two clarinet trios

1. Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme
J.S. Bach (1685-1750)

Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme ('Awake, the voice calls to us'), BWV 140, also known as Sleepers Awake, is a church cantata by Johann Sebastian Bach, regarded as one of his most mature and popular sacred cantatas. He composed the chorale cantata in Leipzig for the 27th Sunday after Trinity and first performed it on 25 November 1731.

2. Variations on Tower Hill (Giles Farnaby 1563-1640) by Clive Lane

Giles Farnaby was a cabinet maker who completed a Bachelors degree in music at Oxford University. His best-known compositions are for keyboards, and the Fitwilliam Virginal Book contains 51 of his 52 surviving compositions.

I have added some variations to the 16 bar theme.
