Product Description

The Fatinitza March is extracted from the operetta Fatinitza, which premiered on 5 January 1876 at Carlstheater in Vienna and was very successful until the beginning of World War I. The march was taken from the trio in the third act and became itself very popular, even with an own German text. The arrangement is kept in the original key of the composition for orchestra. Is was commissioned and first time performed by Mozarteum Wind Philharmonic Salzburg conducted by Hansjoerg Angerer at their "Three Kings' Concert" on 6 January 2015 in the "Grosses Festspielhaus" (Large Festival Hall) in Salzburg, Austria. A live recording of this concert is available at https://www.salzburg-windphilharmonic.at/de/wien-trifft-london/ or https://www.jpc.de/jpcng/classic/detail/-/art/wien-trifft-london/hnum/10428729?iampartner=303&subid=umr3&ref=partner.jpc.de.
