The squirrels adventures, which are described musically, make for a fun-filled musical adventure.
Squirrel leaps from branch to branch, looks for nuts, chases the neighbours cat, etc. Such an exciting day.

All this excitement is packed into nine movements which can each be played on their own as well as together. The music covers a wide variety of dynamics and articulations as well as covering the full range of all the instruments. The ensemble work is very exciting and a real training ground for learning independence of parts.

There is one movement which gives the musicians a chance to share
with the audience how different sounds can be created on various instruments - perhaps these sounds are not
quite what we would normally expect.
