Product Description

Complete score and part of the "Recorder Concerto in C minor RV 441" for Alto Recorder and Piano. Certainly composed in Venice by Antonio Vivaldi, but presumably between 1720 and 1724 like all the other recorder concertos, and these dates coincide with Vivaldi's appointment as artistic director at the Pio Ospedale della Pietà in the city of Venice. Transcription by Santino Cara.

3 Movements: Poco allegro, 2, Largo, 3. Allegro ma non molto

Sources: This concerto was reconstructed in Rome in 2001 by Santino Cara from the holographic manuscript dating back to around 1700 and 1740, for alto recorder, strings and harpsichord, kept at the National University Library of Turin, and from this reconstruction Santino Cara made the transcription for recorder and piano.
