In the Winter of 2019, my two good friends Mike and Jacob approached me about possibly writing a tuba duet for the under-appreciated ensemble. Knowing that my friends were/are spectacular musicians, I jumped at the chance. Even though the premiere and subsequent recording may have been moved a year later than expected, I am excited to finally release it finished to you all! "Tubet" explores the capabilities of the tuba duet, starting and ending with mountain calls with fast musical acrobatics in between.
