Mauro Giuliani (1781 - 1829) was the most influential classical guitarist of his lifetime. Op.48 contains some of his most useful classical studies for guitarists of all levels. Two studies have been chosen from this opus which focus on the "double" arpeggio of the right hand: pimami. The study in E minor (no.5) is a piece that allows the guitarist to develop familiarity with all positions of the neck. The study in A major (no.12) is a piece of contrasting mood with simpler left hand difficulty, but more demanding exection of the right hand to bring out the melody. The notation is based on the original Vienna publication that was printed within the composer's lifetime. Standard notation w/ right and left hand fingerings including chord diagrams, a glossary of symbols, and a cover sheet. 6 pgs.
