A Time to Rejoice! is a dramatic and poignant cantata for schools/children's choirs and piano (organ accompaniment also available) in which performers and audience embark on an exciting journey through time to witness the events of the first Easter. The time machine is somewhat unreliable, adding humour to the story, and stops are made in the Garden of Eden and Bethlehem before arriving in Jerusalem for Palm Sunday and the events of the crucifixion. The optional second parts greatly enhance the cantata and can be sung by a group of children or even an adult choir.

Whilst not a staged production, there is plenty of scope for acting in the roles of the Captains, and props such as tea lights for the opening procession, pilots' hats for the Captains and palm branches in the song The King is Coming.

A Time to Rejoice! was premiered by St. Joseph's in the Park school, Hertingfordbury, UK on 17 March 2023. Here are some comments from staff/parents:
