A unique storytelling of the procession of waves in the ocean; this contemporary chamber work challenges players to combine technical ability intricately with lyrical expression. Special effects are considered such as the tapping of of the cello like a drum or the upper altissimo of the flute to give a sense of strangle rather than using the midrange of a piccolo.

This chamber piece was written for a composition class that I took in my first year of college. The purpose was to write a piece for this instrumentation that utilized various compositional techniques discussed throughout the course.
