General Overview

"Die Unstillbare Gier" (The Insatiable Greed) is a hauntingly beautiful piece composed by Jim Steinman and Michael Kunze for the musical "Tanz der Vampire" (Dance of the Vampires).

The opening motif is a haunting reminder of a melody from Einladung Zum Ball (Invitation to the Ball), heard earlier in the show. The main melodic material was previously recorded (albeit with different lyrics) by Meatloaf under the title Objects in the Rearview Mirror May Appear Closer Than They Are on the album Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell.

This arrangement has been crafted for solo Eb Alto Clarinet and Piano, and includes a transcription for Bb Soprano Clarinet

Artistic Vision

The essence of "Die Unstillbare Gier" lies in its emotional depth and dramatic intensity. This arrangement aims to capture the melancholic yearning and the deep, insatiable desire conveyed in the original composition. Both the Alto and Soprano Clarinet versions are designed to explore the expressive range of the instruments, bringing out the haunting melody and rich harmonies.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
