This prelude is based on the very well-known hymn tune of "Hyfrydol", which is known by many different texts. Some texts are "Love divine, all loves excelling", "Come, thou long expected Jesus", and "Alleluia, sing to Jesus", among many others. This prelude can work in a variety of fashions, whether at a faster tempo and louder registration, or at a slower pace with softer stops. The recording here has both settings, the first loud, and the scond soft. Be creative! It was written and recorded on a two manual instrument.
