Product Description

AMERICAN PATROL- for Clarinet Quartet (with optional Drums). "American Patrol" is a popular march composed by Frank W. Meacham in 1885. It is known for its lively, spirited style and has become a staple in the repertoire of concert bands and orchestras. This clarinet quartet arrangement evokes the famous arrangement of Glenn Millers Band. It can be played with straight 8th notes, but works best with a swing feel. There is a section where the 1st clarinet can take an improvised solo, or play the written part. Included is an alternate 1st Clarinet part which is less aggressive rhythmically. "American Patrol" is often associated with patriotic events and celebrations in the United States, making it a frequent choice for Fourth of July concerts and other national holidays. A crowd pleaser. Intermediate level.
