Product Description

"Moonglow," reports Wikipedia, has been recorded no less than 572 times on its way from 1933 band theme for Will Hudson (who composed it with Irving Mills) to jazz standard. This arrangement, for two trumpets, horn, trombone and tuba, is adapted from a piano version from one of those Reader's Digest compilations of old favorites.
This rendition actually opens with "By The Light Of The Silvery Moon" from composer Gus Edwards in 1909. It was part of a Broadway show called "Miss Innocence" which lasted almost an entire two weeks before it shut down. The tune was more durable. It was sung by the Three Stooges (!) in a 1933 film, and Doris Day sang it in a 1953 movie for which the song provided the title.
If you need different instrumentation, I'm happy to accommodate. Contact me at wilcor@aol.com.
