Product Description

"You've Got a Friend" is a 1971 song by American singer/songwriter Carole King, which won her a Grammy for Song of the Year. The version by James Taylor in 2001 was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, and in 2010 both King and Taylor performed it together on tour. In this String Trio arrangement, the 1st and 2nd violins play the melody in close harmony - like unto the aforementioned duet. The cello, however, is relegated to a rhythmic bass line to keep the heartbeat and the flow.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
