Introduction and Energico for Strings is a single movement piece for String Orchestra. It was composed over an intensive four-day period in the summer of 2020 during a momentary lull in the Covid pandemic, as a result I think that there is a sense of isolation about the music. The recording came later in 2021 shortly after 'freedom day' in the UK. Performed here by 9 players - as a result of the lockdowns I didn't have access to a symphonic string orchestra and certainly couldn't afford to pay one either!
