Original work for Alphorn quartet (horn in F or G flat/F sharp)
Authentic music from the Swiss Alpine region, as it is often heard in open spaces. Not only played by shepherds, but also by a diverse community of alphorn players. The composition 'Abendstille' was composed in 1994. A video recording with the version for Alphorn Solo was made at an altitude of 1848 meters above sea level in the Vaud Alps for the 7th World Yodel Festival in Gokseong, Korea.
