Product Description

"Chanoyu" is a Japanese word that means "the way of tea," or "tea ceremony." In Japanese culture, the ceremonial art of preparing and drinking green tea (matcha) is practiced by sitting on the tatami (a floor mat) and using elegant hand gestures while they prepare the drink. This piece is meant to tell the story of a tea ceremony process by using simple chords, stepwise motion and slow, graceful playing with musicality and balance. An excellent piece for your first and second year band members.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
