The sound of the ascending major sixths is favoured throughout this piece. It contains many other intervals as well, as you'll hear, but the ascending major sixths are the ones that are guiding my decisions about where the music is going.

This piece is a study in which the player is challenged to make contrasts between constantly changing foreground and background pitches in a repeating ascending scale.
