Product Description

Since its 1918 London premiere, Holst's suite The Planets has thrilled audiences worldwide, and no doubt would thrill the audience for any ambitious Symphonic Band today. I have attempted to capture the joy and exuberance of the Jupiter movement, while carefully reworking it for the symphonic band medium. Emphasis has been made on practical playability (without watering down the parts), particularly with repeated figures. The ensemble for this arrangement is quite large, in keeping with the original orchestration.
