Thank you for your interest in this advanced piano solo piece I composed during the first year of the COVID-19 Pandemic. I found a sense of hope and optimism from performing this light waltz, despite that the vaccine was still many months away at that point and things were looking grim.

The waltz is written pretty much in an Intro-A-B-A'-Coda form. While the tempo is listed as Moderately, do not play it too quickly. There are some elements of B-flat Lydian interspersed.

Regarding articulation: I use tenuto and accent + tenuto marks frequently in my compositions. I tend to use them mostly as indications for the melody and/or notes that should be emphasized or brought out. I never intend the accent + tenuto to be harsh, but it should be stronger than the tenuto alone.

This is the first of eight waltzes for piano I composed between September 2020 and April 2024. I intend to have a collection of all eight available for sale in addition to individual pieces. The available recording on Arrange Me and Sheet Music Plus is an export from Finale not a live performance.
