In 1987 while living in Singapore, I aimed to create an album comprising ten piano compositions inspired by Chinese music, which I titled "CHINA LOVE."
Within this collection, there is a piece titled SINGFOO, a term phonetically pronounced in Mandarin, carrying the meaning of "Our Happiness" when pronounced with proper accents. In crafting this composition, I drew from the tradition of Chinese music, often reflecting life's trials and triumphs. The essence of SINGFOO (OUR HAPPINESS) encapsulates the sentiment of finally discovering our happiness amidst life's journey.
