My Ideal is a tune written by Richard Whiting, Leo Robin and Newell Chase. This a beautiful ballad that has been performed and recorded by some of the greatest in jazz, both contemporary and non-contemporary. On this tune there tends to be some different interpretations of the chordal harmony. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. We also added some pretty cool left-hand fills for your listening (playing?) pleasure - we hope you like what we've done to make this arrangement unique!
