Product Description

Cielito Lindo, the beloved Mexican folk song, was composed by Quirino Mendoza y CortƩs in 1882. Its title translates to Lovely Sweet One. Although the word cielo means sky or heaven, in this context, it serves as a term of endearment similar to sweetheart or honey. The diminutive form, Cielito, can be translated as sweetie, and lindo means cute, lovely, or pretty.

Hans Kolditz's clever arrangement of this beaut inspired me to orchestrate it for a brass and percussion group.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
