The march SCOSSA ELETTRICA was written by Giacomo Puccini for a world congress of telegraphers held in Como in 1899, for the hundredth anniversary of the invention of Volta's battery. This march, a short-lived composition with a light and brilliant character, was initially written for piano and subsequently intended for the band by the composer himself.
