This glorious music was originally written for piano in 1911, and was intended as a Christmas gift to Graingers Mother. In 1918 he arranged it for Military Band and also dedicated it to his Mother.
Bands and Orchestras all over the world still play 'Colonial Song' as a stock programme item.
Here I've scored it for 5 Bb, 2 Alto & 2 Bass Clarinets, I'm certain that in a suitable acoustic, this would sound wonderful....
