In the play "Falling In Love Again", Schubert, a figment of Robert Schumann's imagination, mentions what a happy song it is. Schumann reminds him it's about death. Schubert says, "No. It's about heaven." And in Ken Stone's new English translation it is heaven indeed. It has been such a pleasure to work with Mr. Stone on this project. As a composer himself Mr. Stone understands where all the English vowel sounds should go to match the German words and what words should go on the high notes, the low notes, all the notes.
