Product Description

Simpson was a Canadian pastor and writer in the 19th and 20th Centuries. He was also the founder of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. Iverson was a 20th Century pastor, evangelist, and hymnist from Georgia (USA). Both men wrote Pnumatological works (dealing with the Holy Spirit). This work is great for Pentacost or revivals. Section A starts off with a segment from "Spirit of the Living God" and after the rest, goes straight into Simpson's "O Comforter, Gentle and Tender." At the end of the section, there is a modulation to a new key with the help of an Italian augmented sixth chord. Section B then interweaves both hymns with an occasional descant. A deceptive cadence occurs in measure 29 and finally resolves to the tonic.
