This arrangement of Ronnie Hazelhurst's beautiful theme for the long-running BBC comedy series 'Last of the Summer Wine' is scored for Trumpet, Flugel Horn, Horn, Trombone and Tuba. The Flugal part can be played on trumpet if required.

Although not rhythmically difficult, the arrangement tests the players ability to play quietly, smoothly and with subtle dynamic control and articulation. Good legato technique is required in both ensemble and lead parts, The tuba part requires a lightness of touch so that it provides a stable foundation for the upper parts but in the more rhythmic entries at figure C and G, provides contrast to the duet on the Flugel and Horn.
