Composed in lockdown 2020, this was my first attempt at writing music for my ladies choir (SSA voices). I used the words of a well loved poem I remembered from school; 'Song of the River' from 'The Water Babies' (by Charles Kingsley) which tells the story of a river from its clear and pure source, through a polluted town, then out into the sea.
