HERE'S TO YOU
Composed by Joan Baez & Ennio Morricone, Arranged by Marco Pasquini for Concert Band & Choir (obbligato)
Sound track by the film "Sacco e Vanzetti", a 1971 film directed by Giuliano Montaldo, with Gian Maria Volonté and Riccardo Cucciolla. The film narrates the true story that happened to Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti, two Italian anarchists who emigrated to the United States of America at the beginning of the twentieth century.
The soundtrack was composed, orchestrated and conducted by Ennio Morricone and co-directed by Bruno Nicolai. The songs are all original compositions and some of these were composed in collaboration with the American singer-songwriter Joan Baez. The closing song Here's to You, sung by Joan Baez, became a generational anthem.
