This warm up in 6/8 time is a common single hand developoment excercise for drums that's been scored for full band. Make sure drummers adhere to the right hand and left hand designations with emphasis on stick height and wrist position on the accented and unaccented notes. Although it's typically used for marching band there is great benefit for non-rudimental players as well. It should be played with a metronome.
