Product Description

The words to Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence is based on the Old Testament book of Habakkuk 2:20 and became part of the Divine Liturgy of St James in the fifth century and was chanted.  The melody had its origins by Gerald Moultie 1829-1885 who based it on a medieval French folk melody called Picardy. There have been other translations and arrangements, most notably by Ralph Vaughan Williams 1872-1958.

This relatively easy arrangement for Classical Guitar is first in D minor with the melody in the treble and then a very creative version with the melody in the Bass.  It wraps up in E minor with a lot of open strings and going all the way up to the 12th fret.  The overall result is beautiful and if you can play the basic F type bar chord it is not real difficult to play.

Note that the YouTube video has a slightly different arrangement (actually a performance error) but I doubt you can find it.  The audio file provided here is correct.
