Product Description

This third movement of the Nativity Suite (III Nativity) uses the Huron Carol, written in 1642 by Jean de Brébeuf, a Jesuit
missionary among the Hurons in Canada. It was used to convey the gospel story in a way that would be understood by the
indigenous population.

'Twas in the moon of wintertime
When all the birds had fled
That mighty Gitchi Manitou
Sent angel choirs instead
Before their light the stars grew dim
And wandering hunters heard the hymn
Jesus your King is born, Jesus is born
In excelsis gloria
