Product Description

"March of the Toys" is a famous instrumental piece from the operetta "Babes in Toyland" composed by Victor Herbert in 1903

It is a march that is often associated with Christmas and occasionally shows up on Christmas compilations

The piece is performed by an ensemble of toy soldiers and other toys in the operetta, and children from the audience are sometimes brought up to help "wind-up" the toy dancers

The operetta itself tells the story of two children who run away from home and find themselves in Toyland, a magical land of spirited toys

The piece is often arranged for ensembles who might find the original work's difficult key and tricky time signatures inaccessible. This saxophone duetis written for like saxophones (Alto & Alto or Tenor & Tenor) and is easily accessible and playable.  A score and separate parts are provided.
