Product Description

This piece is ideally suited for the Marimba Workshop (Pty) Ltd marimbas.
www.marimbaworkshop.co.za

It was arranged for the Goede Hoop Marimba Band to be performed at the 2016 Education Africa International Marimba & Steelpan Festival in the "Strictly Classical" Category where the composer for this category for that year was Antonio Vivaldi. This performance has gone viral on YouTube.  These young girls were aged between 11 and 13 at the time.

It is written for African diatonic marimbas in C with an African feel but can be played on a variety of different instruments.

Feel free to roll (measured or unmeasured) on the long notes.

Whenever I teach this arrangement my students fall in love with Vivaldi and his music. The medley consists of music from Vivaldi's Four Seasons: Spring and Winter and his famous Gloria. There is a joy and wonder as the harmonies and patterns are revealed to them through my unique methodology I use to teach them.

I hope you have fun learning this arrangement.

I would love to hear your version of this piece. Please email:  joan@marimbaworkshop.co.za
