Product Description

Scored for two Violins, Viola and Violoncello. There is also an optional Contrabass part as well as a Third Violin (Alternative to Viola). All of this makes it playable by a String Orchestra.
Dark Eyes, sometimes known as Black Eyes, has its roots in both The Ukraine and in Russia. Although it was originally known as a Russian- Romani folksong, at the beginning of the Twentieth Century, it achieved a much wider international reputation when Italian-born British composer, Adalgiso Ferraris, published a new version in 1910. It was also later sung and recorded by Al Bowlly in 1939. It has also gained some currency as a jazz tune.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
