This is an abridged arrangement of Ralph Vaugham Williams' "Fantasia on a Theme of Thomas Tallis". The theme is based on a melody written by the 16th century English composer Thomas Tallis. Vaughan Williams "Fantasia on a Theme of Thomas" was featured in the 2003 film "The Master and the Commander: Far Side of the World."

This arrangement is for four C flutes, alto flute, bass flute, and an optional contrabass flute. A transcription of the alto flute part written for C flute is included
